Ganguly, Nagma, Miandad and Dawood in star-studded lineup

A simple quiz question could be: "Connect Sourav Ganguly to Javed Miandad". The rookie quizzer's answer to that would be that Sourav Ganguly was India's captain and Javed Miandad was Pakistan's coach when India beat Pakistan at Rawalpindi last year to win the series. They are both feisty competitors, not averse to sledging and mind-games before, during and after a game.

The most convoluted answer, which has revealed itself in the last week or so, is that the actress Nagma confessed to having an affair with Ganguly in an interview to Savvy, a women's magazine. Nagma has been now linked to the don Dawood Ibrahim, who fled to Karachi a decade ago around the time Bombay was bombed. A confessional statement from Jamiruddin Ansari, an employee of the D-company, suggests that Nagma was Anees Ibrahim's mistress, the term "keep" being a very Indian euphemism.

Ansari was handling hawala operations for Dawood's brother Anees Ibrahim who was arrested in the UAE a couple of years ago. Unfortunately though, the UAE did not deport Anees Ibrahim to India but instead sent him off in style to, where else(?), Pakistan!

So where does Javed Miandad fit in? Well he is apparently going to be Dawood Ibrahim's sammandhi!

Cricket, crime, politics and films are all interlinked. Sab mile hue hain.
