Pakistan: A failed state by 2015

An assessment by the US National Intelligence Council, which is meant to provide the CIA and other US intelligence agencies with analysis of global strategic and economic trends, indicates that Pakistan will be a failed state by the year 2015 as a result of increasing military spending, huge international financial assistance, a huge increase in population, political and economic mismanagement, corruption and the continued arms race with India.

Obviously, if the above happens, it will be despite the best efforts of Shaukat Aziz.

Giving know-how to Iran's nuclear programme obviously cannot help Pakistan in its efforts to become an investment friendly country. An investigation by Pakistan's ISI has revealed, to everyone's shock and horror, sold nuclear know-how and related materials to help Iran's nuclear programme. Of course, the government knew nothing about it all!
