When Manny met Mushy
Yesterday, on the sidelines of the 14th summit meeting of the Non-Aligned movement, comprising 'non-aligned', responsible and distinguished countries such as Angola, Burkina Faso, Congo, India, Pakistan, North Korea, Iran, Brunei Darussalam and Suriname, India's Prime Minister (Manmohan Singh) met Pakistan's President (General Pervez Musharraf). The two leaders met in the aftermath of the Mumbai blasts. They strongly condemned all acts of terrorism and agreed that terrorism is a scourge that needs to be effectively dealt with. They decided to put in place an India-Pakistan anti-terrorism institutional mechanism to identify and implement counter-terrorism initiatives and investigations. We're going to work with Pakistan to setup an "anti-terrorism institutional mechanism"? India does have this institutional mechanism. You can refer to it by various names: India's armed forces, military, defence forces, etc. What Pakistan brings to the table is the terrorism institutional mechanism. You can refer to it by various names: ISI, Government, proxy-warfare, etc.
