    The difference a week makes

Hypothetically speaking if Pluto were inhabited, a week ago, the inhabitants would have been relieved that Pluto was a planet, and the definition of a planet was to be extended to Ceres, Charon and 2003 UB313.

Today's announcement that Pluto was downgraded to a 'dwarf planet' on chiefly because it's orbit overlaps with Neptune's, will no doubt shatter the hypothetical inhabitants of Pluto. Along with Pluto, Cerese and 2003 UB313 are also categorized as 'dwarf planets'.

See Pluto's orbit cut across Neptune's

Pluto's planet Charon is a victim of status quo and will continue to remain a moon. I mean how much more insulting could it get. From nearly being categorized as a planet along with Pluto, Charon now remains a satellite while Pluto at least gets to call itself some sort of a planet.
