This Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) which has spread from East & South-East Asia to all parts of the globe originated in a Chinese province. It makes me wonder if the Chinese are dabbling in biological weapons etc. It is such a wonderful weapon. All it seems like is a cold with a few other symptoms, it is transmitted through air and a combination of air travel, poor sanitary conditions etc. is enough to spread this in pretty much geometrical progression.

Personal

Got engaged last weekend. It was quite an event, over 130 people, great atmosphere, good food, general mirth etc. I did wonder for a few hours what I was doing there because it just didn't seem like I was required (and admittedly everyone had indeed told me so). But that was sorted out soon thereafter and Krithika and me were the cynosure of attention (or so I'd like to believe!). There was cake cutting, singing, photo shoots etc. We were absolutely drained at 930 when it all ended and I had to catch an early morning train the next day! If this is just the stress in the engagement, I shudder to think of the wedding ... and that is over 2 days!
