    Politics

In the next few hours we're about to witness a masala movie where the hero is fed with stories about the villain, about how he humiliated/killed his father and the hero's mother takes a promise from him that he will take revenge. The boy grows up. The villain has supposedly been in jail all along, but somehow managed to either escape or has been running his evil empire from within the confines of the prison. What prison are we talking about? See below

Still don't get it? That is the island of Alcatraz, in the San Francisco bay.

The hero grows up to be a leader in his area. In a controversial (but allegedly democratic) manner, he then assumes complete control over his entire country (I believe the right terminology used in reference to African/Asian/Latin American countries is bloodless coup. Then again, with deepest apologies to CLR James, What do they know of democracy who only democracy know?). A couple of years after he becomes sovereign ruler, the hero remembers the unfinished business with the villain and decides to attack him. Hero always has sidekicks, remember. So our man also has a few. One of them is British, there's an Aussie in there too and you can add in a Jap and a few other new-Europeans (funny how the Brit and the Aussie are on the same side, eh? Politics makes for strange bed-fellows !). There you have it! That is a pretty handy army for sure!

The hero and his sidekicks make all sorts of threatening noises. They even try to hold the country's governing council responsible for the villain's actions and demand immediate attacks. Then they blatantly ignore the elders and rush into the conflict, giving the villain, his cohorts and family 48 hours to pack up and leave.

Do not miss this other brilliant satirical comment on the soon to commence war of mass destruction.
