    Politics

I think after the war broke out, I mentioned about this being the end of a great civilization and land. This is the 5th remake of "Thief of Baghdad" being shot on location, live and using sync sound and all these great new techniques. Antiques of more than 4000-5000 years old are being stolen from Baghdad's (and other Iraqi cities') museums. The "coalition of the willing" is nothing but a "coalition of the willing supporters to the looting". Even assuming the US and UK and other coalition partners were right in attacking Iraq, no one with even the remotest sense of history will ever be able to forgive the way the military has razed a magnificient civilization to the ground. It really pains me when all that remains of a great ancient land are destroyed buildings, looted banks & museums etc.

    Personal

Met Thyags, Nitin, his wife Priya, her sister Preethi, her husband Kiran at Woodys' on Commercial Street. Had a lot of fun catching up on times. We just haven't changed, Nitin & I. Like he said, we still act like 17 year old first year NTU students when we meet our friends from NTU. Thyags and I felt it was because of the way we all lived together, shared our times (good, bad, ugly etc.). So while to others we could be 27/28 year olds, some married-and-with-kids, some married-sans-kids, some on the verge of being married (ahem!) etc., amongst ourselves we just haven't grown up. Still the same goofy chaps. Thyags mentioned how he felt quite old at IIM-B where he studies now. There're 24 yr olds so serious about life, studies etc. It was overall a lot of fun. Nitin, send the snaps you took.
