Please dont invite Musharraf for the cricket

Even as the first test between India and Pakistan got underway at Mohali today, the external affairs ministry officials played out questions about Musharraf's visit, just letting them pass, as Gavaskar or Dravid would, to most deliveries outside offstump.

Nitin is totally spot-on when he says that the Indian government must not invite Musharraf. Let cricket fans come across the border, certainly not politicians, army-men, militia and dictators, especially those who were responsible for Indian deaths. I'm willing to provide Pervez with updates on his cell-phone, at a cost obviously, if he wants to know the latest score. Dont let him in though. Why should my money be used to provide security to someone who has killed my countrymen?

The BCCI is stupid and irresponsible as usual. An organization that cant even put its house in order or pay its "staff" on time should not be allowed to comment about anything. After all, it did imply that it didnt particularly care for the government.
