    Cricket news:

South Africa v Sri Lanka: A galling (pun completely intended) refusal by South Africa to chase 325 in the final innings since they were content going into the Colombo test 0-0. Whoever said modern test cricket is interesting must have been forced to see the Galle game.

England: Adam Hollijoke contends that Flintoff is the best cricketer in the world. Yes Adam, the best cricketer who was born 6 December 1977 at Preston, Lancashire. Nothing more, nothing less. This year's Twenty-20 cup ends Leicestershire beating Surrey thanks to the ability to decrypt signals between the bowler and the keeper. Shades of how the German Enigma coding machine was broken by the Allies forces in World War II. A few retired English cricketers-turned-commentators get together and ponder over the fate of next year's Ashes. Clearly a gentleman at the MCC was totally a luddite.

India: Is the BCCI bent on killing the goose that laid the golden eggs. Ganguly, on the other hand, still thinks Zaheer is his golden goose.

Pakistan: Pakistan announce their ICC Champions Trophy squad and Shahid Afridi now officially has more comebacks than his age.
