In a barbaric and shocking murder bearing eerie resemblance to the killing of Daniel Pearl, the WSJ reporter who was beheaded in Pakistan, a US businessman Nick Berg was cruelly and ruthlessly beheaded and a video of his killing uploaded onto a website by a group headed by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who has been linked to the al-Qaeda. The video also held out threats to Bush and Musharraf. While it may be far fetched to connect Omar Sheikh, who is thought to have been behind Pearl's killing and is also a close associate of Maulana Azhar Masood, founder of the Jaish-e-Mohammad, and the Abu Musab & al-Qaeda, purely based on the way the victims were murdered, it is certainly a lead worth pursuing for any investigating agency. Certainly B Raman in Rediff seems to think on similar lines.
