'Veto power ko bhool ja, varna ...' - Kofi Annan & US read from the same sheet

The US has now made it abundantly clear that it will not support countries who want to be part of the expanded UN Security Council who insist on veto powers.

In a startling coincidence, Kofi Annan also said pretty much the same thing last month, except he didnt threaten to stop the expansion of the UNSC. Very odd for US to actually agree with the Secretary-General, even if only partly!

Update: Brazil, Germany, India & Japan have officially begun the process of lobbying by circulating a resolution among UN General Assembly members.

UN Security Council Veto power is worthless when US and UK can go on a 'Iraqi-freedom-operation' inspite of the veto by France, Russia and China.

Why would India be part of this group where the reading on the wall is 'US is always right'?
