Should India quit the UN?Secular-Right India wonders if it is high time India just quit the UN since it is pretty much non-functional anyway. I've already written at breadth on a whole gamut of issues involved when it comes to expanding the UN Security Council. In fact, I didn't go as far as to say India must quit the UN, just that we should stop going around with the bowl, getting support from countries like Mauritius. Really, should we really care if that tiny nation supports our bid or not? Essentially, if all the five permanent members of the current UNSC do not support India's bid and if the seat comes without a veto, India should just opt out of the race. As for getting out of the UN, what do you think?
