US Senator Norm Coleman called for UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to resign following revelations that aid for Iraq under the "Oil for food" UN programme was diverted by Saddam Hussein to bribe politicians and carry out other nefarious activities. Thats fair enough, but why wasnt he asking for his president to resign when it became obvious that reports of WMDs in Iraq and the impact of its nuclear programme were greatly exaggerated.
