The high farce in the Kannada movie industry continues with its ostrich-like stand since the ridiculous decision in August to impose a moratorium on non-Kannada movies such that they could be released in theatres only three weeks after they opened in their places of origin. Several Kannada film artistes had called for a state-wide bandh against theatres screening movies overriding the imposed moratorium. The bandh currently seems to have been called off.
