Should India trust Musharraf based on the stories he weaves to his domestic audience? Charles de Gaulle II claimed that Manmohan Singh's speech to the UN General Assembly acknowledged the centrality of Kashmir and thus understood Pakistan's position. Pakistan (and by implication Musharraf) keeps harping on the need for India and Pakistan to move from their extreme positions so that negotiations can begin. I wonder how Pakistan has moved.
