The Manmohan Singh government got into another crisis late yesterday night after it was known that an Iraqi terrorist group had captured 3 Indians among 6 hostages it had taken in Iraq. The group, which calls itself "The Holders of the Black Banners", threatened to behead a hostage every 72 hours unless the governments pulled off forces from Iraq and the companies closed their Iraq branches. The government though seems to have been totally unprepared for such a situation. Its first response was an extremely defensive one, almost cajoling the terrorists that they shouldnt harm the Indians because India hasnt sent troops to Iraq, and never will.
