With the Chinese government still sticking to the 1989 position that the Tiananmen movement threatened China's security, the NY Times opines that even though the current generation of Chinese have so much personal wealth & freedom, they are still not allowed to speak up politically or join unofficial labour movements or practice unsanctioned religions. It is time for the Chinese government to come out with the true story of Tiananmen, 1989.
