    Will the US buy out Skype?

    Bambi Francisco at Marketwatch wonders if Google will enter the instant messenger market by buying out Skype.

    And why does the title of the post refer to the US? Read this nice comparison of the three major internet giants (AOL excluded) with 20th century nation states.
