    Cricket news:

Asia Cup - India got flogged by Sri Lanka in the final. There is a rumour that the De Beers company has approached the BCCI with a sponsorship offer twice that of Sahara's. However it is unlikely that the BCCI will agree to the Indian team being called 'Chokers', named after a group brand. Sangakkar, Dilshan and Chandana however will not be able to afford any De Beers jewellery for a while. Even as Ganguly tries to come to terms with the loss, it is obvious that India are not the #2 ODI side. India though will have an opportunity in Pakistan two years later. Irfan Pathan has impressed Jayasuriya. Maybe it was those tears which got Jayasuriya out to Irfan in the final?

England v West Indies - Even as Ashley Giles basks in the glory of being the 4th best spinner, Gareth Batty swears revenge for Lara scoring 400 at Antigua.

India - BCCI chief for life, Jagmohan Dalmiya, jumps the gun and reveals that the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy and 2015 World Cup will be held in India. Javagal Srinath talks to NDTV in 'Walk the Talk'. Kiran More and Pranob Roy could be sacked from the BCCI selectors panel. We may soon find international cricket being played in Srinagar.

Misc - Collibs Obuya is unlikely to play in the ICC Champions Trophy.
